.....Waves..... Wind..... being close to nature....
Seabirds eye attentively the paddler, whales swim unhurried along
and little seals look curious: “What could these rubber
boxes be?”
Quietly, accompanied only by the gentle splashing of the blades,
the bow cuts through the water. Behind the boat the sea surface
is rippled for a while. Then, the sea unwrinkles and no trace is
left.
Torn off sea grass and tang drift in the water, and all sorts of
interesting flotsam– fishing net corks, wooden swords and
flowers, but also a lot of rubbish, discarded fishing hooks and
algal foam.
Current and wind give, depending on their combination, nice waves
on which flanks the kayak can surf, or short steep choppy waves,
which throw the boat happily back and forth - the water splashes
are refreshing.
Sea kayaking is always an experience, and no single trip is like
any other....
